Diane Legault and Peter Garrow recognized for community involvement and service

Peter Garrow has spent much of his career in the field of education. He recognized for his contributions in the area of education for First Nations students. His dedication over decades has been consistent and continuous. In addition, Mr. Garrow has been instrumental in the promotion of lacrosse having served not only his community but also on the national levels. He is also an advocate for Shannon’s Dream (an Attawapiskat youth’s goal of getting better schools built in First Nations communities) and Jordan’s Principle (an organization focused on resolving jurisdictional disputes for First Nations youth.)

Diane Legault has been a member of the Rotary Club of Cornwall for fewer than five years but in that time she has made a profound impact by her contributions to the Youth Exchange program by hosting a student, to the Interact Mission in El Salvador by accompanying the team, and by her contributions to the fundraising events such as the sale of mums, Trivia Night as the bingo team. Diane is also a devoted volunteer at the RC Cornwall Sunrise Agape Centre Sunday meals.
