PRESENTS:

“Clues Lead to Murder at the Down Town Abbey”

© 2016 Written by: Laurie McRae-Bingley

This play, written by Laurie McRae-Bingley, is a spoof of the popular TV show “Downton Abbey” and incorporates elements of the board game “Clue” into the story.

Set in the fabulous 1920s, a MURDER occurs during Act 1 in “Lord CrawToMe’s” Manor and a bumbling inspector from the local constabulary is assigned to the case. If you know the characters from the original show that this play is based on – you should recognize each of them, in some form, on this stage. We encourage many of the guests attending this event to dress in attire suitable to the 1920s era and to immerse yourselves in the event fully- if you wish—(But it’s certainly not necessary)

We will be picking a few audience members to portray the “ Doctor”/ “Coroner “ and “Police officers “  The people for these roles will be chosen during the Cocktail hour and given instructions discreetly before the show even begins. Only people excited about taking on a small role will be selected to participate.

Put your detective hats on and help the inspector solve the case. Join us for an evening of Laughter, Mayhem and MURDER!

Thank you for contacting us!!!

We look forward to making your event a success!!

Warm Up Ukraine
The Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise is supporting the Rotary Club of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s project to provide warm waterproof blankets for people living in difficult circumstances ie bomb shelters, collective warming points, etc.
It costs about $40 Cdn. to manufacture a 3-layer blanket (waterproof fabric + sintapon + coat fabric). Blankets are 2 x 1.5 m. and are being made by the Kharkiv sewing enterprise where seamstresses receive food and humanitarian kits. The total goal is to provide 10,000 blankets.
